Das Zentrum der in der Kunsthalle Nexus in Saalfelden 2011 realisierten Installation bildet ein aus einem von einem weißen Lattenzaun umgebenen Kunstrasenstück, auf dem ein Rasen-Roboter unaufhörlich kreist. Die Rasenfläche steht für das private Heim, die Oase, die Menschen sich schaffen, um hier ihre Sehnsucht nach Sicherheit, Ruhe, Harmonie und individueller Lebensgestaltung zu befriedigen. Alles scheint in bester Ordnung zu sein. Und doch liegt in diesem automatisierten, unentwegten und einsamen Kreisen des Roboters und seinem permanenten Anstoßen am Zaun etwas beunruhigend Trauriges, Vergebliches.

The centre of the installation created at the Kunsthalle Nexus in Saalfelden in 2011 consists of an area of artificial turf surrounded by a white picket fence, with a robot lawn mower continuously circling around. The lawn area symbolises the private home, the oasis that people create for themselves to satisfy their longing for security, peace and quiet, harmony, and an individual lifestyle. Everything appears to be in perfect order. And yet there is something unsettlingly sad and futile in the robot's automatic incessant and solitary circling, and the way it constantly bumps up against the fence.
